Whats the OT’s thoughts on tapping you card to make in-person purchases.

With all these card skimmers everywhere, I hate using my card’s chip and avoid it whenever & wherever possible.

Spent nearly a week in Ireland last month and virtually every vendor took payment this way. Tolls, Pubs, Gas Stations (after filling up - blew my mind)…I wish it was more common here in the states although it is improving.

Does your mom come equipped with a chip reader or can I just tap her?

I prefer it since you can do it with one hand, but I give up on tap to pay quickly and insert if it doesn't seem to be working on a machine.

The true flex is tapping your apple watch to pay. I hope to experience this one day.

Organized crime has been accepting payment through the double tap method for decades.

Recently State Farm has been offering a discount for it.

Cash. I don’t need the government knowing what I’m buying when.

Tap to pay means you're gay.

I think in this case, you insert.

Tap to pay from my phone. I was an early adopter but most places didn't accept tap to pay until COVID hit. Now it's pretty ubiquitous and convenient as hell.
