I wonder if the international press will shame the Sheriff's office into doing their job. I think a few depositions, in which they are able to explain why they have been derelict, might just perk them up. The GOB network hates daylight, and press.

The entire 21st JDC family court system is a shite show. Cashe and Oglesbee are both crooked. I hope it all blows up in their face.

Me too, both are shitty judges. Cashe does everything to keep from making a decision and pushes off on a hearing officer as much as possible. He had one that hated men so much a woman I was seeing who also went through this court was appalled at this woman basically wanting to jail a man who was broke and homeless for the inability to pay child support. The dude had NOTHING, not even family in Tangi because he was from out of state.
Not just through my own experiences but I've had people I've known for years go through his court only to tell me the same thing. My attorney even told me he went through the same bullshite with other clients. Not to mention both are in the good ol boy network here. Oglesbee used to work for Sherman Mack and rumors I've heard is Mack is trying to get one of his other attorneys to run against Cashe. I can't confirm that but it wouldn't surprise me Mack is wanting to be a puppet master of the family court bench in the district. As if the family court of the 21st JDC isn't bad enough.
Yeah, I hope it blows up in both their faces. Cashe needs to resign.

Hence the obvious question, why has it taken 7 years and the police have still not even opened an investigation on this man, whom the Ponchatoula police have a business relationship with, when there is no question that the event took place, and at a minimum, statutory rape occurred? That felony Carnal Knowledge of a Minor is open and shut, and yet no movement.

I guess you can never rule out incompetence in small city policing, but that would be one for the ages.

Wouldn't ever bet against Louisiana and corruption,
But if incompetence is the answer. This would be a doozy. That a 7 year old report with multiple follow up attempts, with walking proof, and a DNA test, got ignored, and they accidentally handed full custody to a police business partner over reported cell phone disagreements, because they forgot to investigate/prosecute at a minimum, a proven felony carnal knowledge case.
Most of the time corruption comes into play here too, would be quite the thing if it was all just plain incompetence.

In the article I posted the girl said the guy told her he was well connected and he could get her if he wanted.. and who he does business with indicates he might have these so called connections.
