Taking medicine into your own hands.

I, for 10 years, took a pain medicine (Tramadol) for a back injury from a car accident. The medicine was not a controlled substance. However, in 2014 the medicine was labeled as a schedule IV controlled substance.
Due to the ongoing "war on drugs", no one (doctors) wants to prescribe controlled substances for long periods. For over 5 years I have tried lots of different non-controlled medicines for an injury that cannot heal.
Tramadol is a step down from Tylenol 3, with regard to effectiveness. But it helps me just enough.
I found a way to obtain Tramadol about a year ago but through alternative means. I have not done so, but I'm 50 now, and I'm really considering it.
What say the OT?

Is it a Canadian pharmacy, or are you driving to Mexico?

Based on my experience with LEO visiting me because of what I posted on this website, I'd say this is not the place to turn.

I wouldn't buy any black market pill these days what with the fentanyl killing everyone.

This is illegal and you are foolish if you think that you won't get caught. Why not go to pain management?

Not black market. But it's still illegal to have, in the US, without a prescription.

I take Tramadol everyday; 100 MGs and it's prescribed by the VA for back and knee. Doesn't kill the pain but dulls it quite a bit. For me it works better than Oxy.
Tramadol was a game changer for me vs. 1200 to 1600 mg of ibuprofen a day.
Labeling Tramadol a schedule IV controlled substance is dumber than Biden.

Workout and perform therapy.
That is often all that is needed.
Strengthen muscle groups to reduce the pain.
Wouldn’t it be so much better to not be tied to a medication?

Yeah this is an important comment in here (from Oyster no less).
These black market pain pills can be stamped with fentanyl and just kill you in minutes.
