Sword And Scale Podcast Episode 15-Creepiest audio ever.

Episode 15 of Sword and Scale covers two stories. The second of these is the Byron David Smith case, the retired guy in Minnesota who waited in his basement for the suburban teenage serial-thieves to come back into his home, and then calmly and in business-like fashion executed them. The OT went batshit crazy on the case when it originally happened.
Anyhow, I made the mistake of turning off the lights and trying to go to bed while listening to this podcast. Holy crap.
Very disturbing and graphic, but if you are the sturdy type you may want to give it a listen. NSFW.

One of the dead teens (age 18) was a solid OT 6.5.

So sad that someone is going to masturbate to the pictures of a dead eighteen year old.

Horrible story. Guy sounds like a sicko who got pushed over the edge, and I can't endorse what he did, especially at the end. That said, you just can't go burglarizing people's houses, especially the same one, over and over, and not expect some consequences. Just an all around f'd up situation.

He recorded himself shooting them. It's disturbing. You hear the shooter psychologically preparing himself, shooting them and talking to them on the floor. "You're dead". I didn't get to bed until maybe 4:00 after hearing that. Now that I think about it, You should definitely skip it.
I would say if you remember the case and the discussion on the OT at the time-you may want to listen.

The sooner people realize that there are insane people all around us the better they'll be.

You didn't really mention it, but the guy audio recorded the whole thing and they play it on the podcast. shite was creepy to say the least.

It's creepy but ep. 20 is far more disturbing. Computerized voices narrating message board threads on child abuse, mutilation and cannibalism. It's awful.

People here were defending the guy for executing them. Nasty people I tell you.

That audio really wasn't very disturbing, it's just gun shots and a girl scream

Did his lawyer not use the insanity plea?
I fail to really feel sorry for any thieves especially since they continually targeted him.

Prior to the incident, Byron Smith had been burglarized at least half a dozen times over the past few months. Among the items stolen were thousands of dollars in cash, the watch his father had received after spending nearly a year as a POW in World War II, medals and ribbons Smith had earned in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, several firearms, and jewelry. Smith began routinely wearing a holster with a loaded gun inside his home. There is some evidence that Kifer and Brady committed at least a couple of the previous break-ins and were being investigated for prior burglaries, including one earlier on the day they were killed.[8][9] Smith installed a security system to protect himself.[
from Wiki. I'd have shot the motherfrickers too if they had been serial robbing me. Doesn't seem he did anything too awful. He shot them both and finished them off. fricked up by not calling the police immediately.

Be careful people. Realize that there are people out there like this.
Stay in the straight and narrow because vigilante justice is still acceptable to a large portion of our population.

well maybe if the dead perps would have thought of this, they'd be alive now. I agree the old man is nuts, but if you listen to the audio objectively you realize why hes nuts. Old man has been victimized repeatedly. Let a woman be repeatedly victimized by an abusive husband and everyone sympathizes. Why should this old man be any different? Doesn't mean he gets a pass for what he did, but he isn't "pure evil" as described by the libtard narrating this podcast.
