I just got two pair of Orlebar Brown trunks and they seem to fit nice. They are zippered and not baggy at all.

I just bought some kanu surf brand off Amazon. Very comfortable. I used to only wear Columbia, but have noticed my last couple of pairs faded extremely quick.

I wear something similar to below. I think they are called hybrid or boardwalk shorts because they look like regular shorts but are also swim trunks.

I buy columbia swim suits with Amazon Prime. ~$30, plenty of designs and you can choose 6" or 8" inseam.

Discovered these last year. They're pricey but I really like them. I have the Kore short which is an athletic short, but I also use them as swim trunks. They also have shorts specifically for swimming.
