No doubt. I've never even heard of Avicii

I wasn’t aware of a Swedish DJ’s health issues.

Not being a troll here but what makes a good DJ? To me it looks like they are basically typing on a laptop. I could see having fun at a concert but they all kind of sound the same to me.

Serious question. Not my genre of music but if the guy is just mixing other people’s songs does that count as his music? I can appreciate that these guys keep people dancing for hours on end and to me that is more a skill than art per se. Am I wrong?

He might have meant that he loved his actual music he produced

The guy did make plenty of music

Oh. Didn’t know that and, like I said, it was a serious non-OT question. I have always been fascinated by these DJ guys that get thousands to come listen to them and frankly don’t understand it. Generational thing I am sure.

Serious response, the work that actually goes into making their beats. I believe Avicii also wrote a lot of the lyrics in his songs as well.

Here is a video of Calvin Harris making one of his songs "Slide." Even if you aren't into EDM, this is pretty awesome. It is also one of the less techno-ish songs.

NOT AT ALL.
One of the best edm songs of all time is from 1983. This jam is TIMELESS as it's still sampled at NBA games and radio stations for example.
It's in GTA Vice City on one of the radio stations when you take a car.

I've never seen the OT ruin a joke quite as quickly as the "could have been me" jokes over the past few months
