Just stay away from that trainer/abuser that made her rounds on social media. I want to say it involved corsos, but has been while. Laffy area, if I recall, and she may be elsewhere now. She was an employee of Rapides Sheriff”’s Office, naturally. Those officers shot and killed a family pet boxer in the wrong home they were attempting to enter some years back. No surprise that dept would have an animal abuser in the dept.

Our home visit was comical. I could tell they were uncomfortable when they asked "Would you spend 20k to cure a dog of illness" and I said depends on the illness, because anything that costs 20k probably isn't going to have the dog living a great life.

We're looking to adopt a shelter dog for my girlfriends daughter. We're just starting the process and go to PetSmart on Saturdays just to see what's out there. They do ask a lot of questions and don't like the fact that me and my girlfriend are not married.

If they ask me that question I'm going to give them a hell no to either a $20k surgery or free reign to come in out house or have the right to take the dog away at their discretion. We're going to spoil that dog rotten but I'm not signing my rights away to do so.

I found a pureblood foxhound in Vacherie skin and bones by the side of the road.

6.5 years later she’s the best dog I’ve ever had.

I was denied by Dante's Hope because they said I was not home enough. I have a normal job where I leave my house at 6:30, and I'm home at 4:00, maybe 4:30, depending on traffic. Then I don't work weekends and luckily have most holidays off. Yet because of my normal job, they determined I'm ineligible to adopt from them, so wtf.

The most expensive dog you’ll ever come across is a free one.

We tried to get a rescue dog and test drove a young lab for the weekend. He was a basket case and after he freaked out when he saw a broom, fought me when I tried to get him off the couch and grabbed the leash with his mouth and tried to drag my 6 yr old around when he took him for a walk,,,,we realized he had issues and gave him back.

Paid a small fortune for a female labradoodle pup afterwards and it was the best choice we could’ve made. She’s a sweetheart.

Before long your dog will be able to sue you for feeding it regular dog food.

We had every intention of adopting/rescue because it feels like the right move, but I got so fed up with the rescue places and their bullshite to even get a foot in the door…

A letter of recommendation from a vet, can’t travel too much for work, yard needs to be shaped like a parallelogram, dont sleep with your wife anymore because our dogs don’t like babies, need to interview your parents…. Go frick your self into hell piece of shite white women

Bought exactly what we wanted and she’s amazing, just feel bad for the animals being denied good homes by dumb smelly counts

Impossible to put a price on a good pup. There's no number I'd take for either of mine.

Acquisition costs of a dog is the lowest expense you will have. Don't skimp. A well bred dog pays for itself in medical costs as well as potential behavior training costs.

We did a backyard bred dog and a high profile bred dog back to back. The difference is astounding. The backyard bred dog, sweet as she could be, had every negative ailment associated with Golden Retrievers. She did out live the well bred dog but was sick most of her adult life.

Some of our best/ friendliest dogs we had growing up were dogs that would just show up.

We had one like that growing up. German shepherd mix that just wandered up to the house one morning while we were having a garage sale, obviously malnourished. He was the friendliest dog we ever had.
