Supposed "Lynching" in Mississippi

I posted about this on PT earlier, but needed to make a new thread here.
When I came across this case this morning, I thought to myself the dude was murdered. But then I began reading more about it and I am convinced there was no murder at all.
The allegation is that this dude was working in Taylorsville, MS and was lynched by "three truckloads of white men." They took him to a field, killed him somehow, and then dismembered him. This is the allegation made by Ben Crump who the family has hired. If you look at the case non-critically, Crump's scenario makes sense. But it easily falls apart if you dig deeper.
For one, the state medical examiner said the cause of death could not be determined due to the advanced decomposition state of the body. Two, he was not dismembered. His remains were scattered because his body was lying out in the elements for a month. The ME said animals got to it and that was the reason his head was separated from the spine. And if you think about it, why would they go through the trouble of dismembering him and not try and hide the body? He was left out in the woods on the ground in plain sight. This is clearly the work of wildlife.
Before Carter went missing, he began texting his mom that he and his boss "don't see eye to eye" and that his boss "sent truckloads of men to kill him." He provided no evidence, of course, that any of this was true. He also named some of the men who were in the pickup trucks. Turns out the police investigated and cleared these men. They had rock solid alibis and were proven to be about 100 miles away working at another job site.
So that's where it stands. No one knows how he died and he likely wasn't even murdered. He probably had a mental breakdown (delusions, paranoia) and went out there and fell, got injured, OD'ed, or just succumbed to the elements.
But here's where the case really irks me. People on social media have identified the boss, posted his picture, gave out his address, and have called for people to go to his house and kill him. All over some bullshite story dreamt up by a mentally ill man. The Instagram poster who doxxed the boss said "stop waiting on Police to give ya'll justice."
The FBI needs to get a hold of this NOW before things spiral out of control. I know the MBI has been working with the Sheriff (not sure if FBI is assisting or not). But either way, you've got innocent people being doxxed and mobs threatening to kill them. You've got Ben Crump out there making ridiculous claims about the KKK running around in trucks lynching people. You've got black people believing the Sheriff and his department are all KKK and covering it up. It's gotten out of control.
The FBI could make a statement today and lay-out the facts of the case. Will they? I won't hold my breath.
If you want a good fact based article, NBC did a good one (surprisingly). CNN and other outlets only quote Ben Crump. NBC actually did a little bit of real investigating.

I’ve spent the majority of my life in LA, MS, and TN. How is I never ever met an actual Klansman?

Sounds like Crump has watched "A Time To Kill" one too many times.

You left out one important detail. He was captured on a game camera going into the woods alone where he was later found by cadaver dogs. The landowner notified the police about the game camera footage when he saw the news about the guy being missing.

Shocker
If there’s a racism angle and a buck to made off of racial hate crimes, Crump will be there pimping it hard . He’s like a moth to a flame.

I don’t know anything about this other than what you wrote, but is decapitation generally something animals would do? I don’t know I’m not a forensic analyst, but I would be surprised if so. In either case it seems like that would be an easy thing to determine, was the cut made by a man made instrument or are there teeth marks..?

Much less I don’t know anyone that has met one either. It’s a fake boogeyman

Sounds like more bs like the alfred wright case where the families are determined to go with the racist lies rather than the sad truth. ( drugs, mental illness, accident).

To be fair, you probably have.
But I get your point and agree with you.

No way someone's head gets cut off without leaving some tool marks on the neck bones. Very easy for a medical examiner to determine this.
Animals often pick on the bones / limbs of corpses and spread the remains.
