Super Typhoon Meranti bearing down on Taiwan

If it destroys Taiwan, it'll setup the perfect chance for China to provide humanitarian assistance to Taiwan.
The US will probably drop the ball on this, snub Taiwan, and therefore lose another crucial ally.
