The good news is the east coast of Taiwan isn't the populated side. Also, they have mountains to tear it apart.
Seems like everything that spins up in the WPAC has gone to a five in recent years.

The bad news is that run off from the mountains cause tremendous mud slides that almost always take a lot of houses and lives.
I've got some good friends in Haulien... Hoping for the best for them.
