Two pages and not a single person has asked the most important question:

What will this do to crawfish prices?

I am disappoint.

But will the NWS still predict that this could be another record year for hurricanes?

You bet. That's how they get additional funding. And to top it off.. they are meteorologists. The only position in science that gets excused for being absolutely wrong.

Since their predictions are always wrong, I hate this

Get the generators running. Feel like super El Niño will do the opposite of El Niño. Bizarro El Niño

Is this a serious reply?

I just wanted to see how many DVQ's I could wind up tighter than a $2 watch.

1992 was a moderage El Nino year, but SELA and South Florida remember Andrew.

El Nino or La Nina are only part of the entire global weather pattern. If anyone tries to say that one season will be worse or better than average is selling clicks and likes. There maybe some probablility based on averages, but it is always a guess.

Mother Nature and the Man upstairs control the weather. If you can call him and get a prediction, ask him for the winning lottery numbers while you are at it.

The prediction is out.
11-16 named storms.
That's pretty mild....
