What do you have your kids in this summer?
Mine is in Fortnite camp, little turd plays all night and sleeps all day.
He does do workouts on Tuesday and Thursday for 6th grade football and is about to start traveling for baseball.
He's still sleeping at 12:19 today

Why does a 12 yr old need a physical?

My kids go to a gymnastics facility that has summer camp. They have a pool, and let the kids play in the foam pits and equipment. They love it. My daughter will be 12 in October, and is responsible so me and the wife discussed letting her stay home with my other 2 younger kids next summer. The money we will save in child care is staggering. We also have an alarm system with cameras to be able to watch our kids throughout the day, and have family that’s retired that live close by as well.

I doubt it... maybe for some friendly scrimmages, but they likely just stick to schools in their state.

My mom paid the teenage girls to watch me during the summer. The girls stayed on the phone and watched MTV all day and didn’t give a damn what I did.
One day mom came home as I was coming out the woods and asked what I had been doing. I though nothing of it and told her my friend and I had been floating in an ice chest in the pond.
That baby sitter wasn’t asked to com back again.

Mine's at sailing camp starting today, and that'll go for a couple of weeks. Just tetanus and life vest for that one. Soccer needs a physical though, ugh.
My daughter had to take a physical for cross country

Dropped mine off at my camp on the bayou. That Baw is going to learn to fend for himself.

Got my kid in a motocross camp outside of Kansas City in July. He may do another local one, not sure yet if we can fit it in.

They played in a home and home when Myles was still at SSC, BM one both pretty easily, SSC just did not have depth on either side of the line. But other than that very little if at all. We played for two years in summer basketball at Warren Easton under Ladner and various New Orleans area basketball tournaments that BM participated in.
Brother Martin still sends usually two of its classes for retreats to SSC, I know not sports but there still is a strong relationship.
There has been whispers of SSC having to play in the catholic league one day. Also SSC has a lacrosse team for the first time this year and will play against all of the New Orleans schools this upcoming year. Still a very big size difference though SSC only graduated 60 this year, when I was there it was only 50.

I bought my son lacrosse sticks for his birthday, he is really looking forward to playing at SSC. We've been tossing it around almost every day.
Doing a BRSC soccer camp there this summer again. Hopefully he'll turn into one of the next greats for Danny.
He also wants to kick footballs for SSC, not sure how much support he'll get though.

It's harmless. Horses are accustomed to people. Bears are the bigger worry.

5? Lol. It's too late. Most of the blue chips are in that camp at 3 yo. Good luck to your son but hell never make the high school Team now.

I haven't figured out how to saddle a bear quite yet.

Son is 7.
He's already done a basketball camp, doing summer baseball, a cooking class with his teacher from last year, advanced swim lessons and have a few more things.
The physical is so the kid doesn't go and drop dead. Just a routine to make sure there isn't any obvious issues/conditions.
