I have a lifetime’s worth of signed lsu baseballs, tickets, newspapers, bowl game memorabilia, etc…. I have nothing to do with it nor do I simply want it just taking up space in a closet. I hate to simply throw it in the trashcan. Any suggestions? TIA

I’ve thought about this, but not sure where to sell or even if it is worth the energy TBH

You could probably list it as one lot on FB Marketplace.

Contact Chuck in Albany. Has a card/memorabilia shop right off interstate. He’s an authority on LSU memorabilia.

I have a decently sized collection. What’s the age on your memorabilia?

Maybe a local school or nonprofit would be interested in using it for an auction fundraiser?

This was my initial thought as well. The local private schools by us are always looking for stuff for their annual auctions.

Donate it to a local school for an athletic auction.

Exactly what I would do. At the very least, they can sell it as one lot. They profit whatever (small or large, it doesn’t matter) and someone gets a collection.

not LSU, but my wife collected Garfield stuff from the early 80's as a kid, and once we got it all together, we had 3 Medium sized boxes of anything and everything Garfield, we shipped it to the James Dean Museum in Fairmont, IN - they have a section for Jim Davis, who was from there as well.

they filled 4 display cases for everyone who visits to enjoy. we asked for nothing, other than for it to be shared and displayed for all.

won't lie - it was a fulfilling decision, so I would say donate to an LSU style museum.

Have friends come over and get in a formation. Read a decree in remembrance and the good times.

Have the official torch bearer move and slowly lower the fire onto the pile.

Then raise your mugs to the memorabilia
