Watch the video. It’s a clear cut murder. He was no longer in danger when he left the building, turned around, and lit the dude up.

I seriously doubt that. He was still alive at the end of the video but he ain't alive right now.

From a totally neutral non-emotional perspective these videos are good lessons of just how poor handguns are at stopping a threat. They demonstrate well why police doctrine is to keep shooting until the threat is neutralized.

That guy took one of those bullets perfect center of the chest, full penetrafion, and if he had a gun would have been able to shoot back for a full 15 seconds or so if he had a gun. Eternity in gun fight time.

He was the victim of attempted murder 5 seconds before that. There may have been multiple assailants. The shooter was at minimum suffering from a concussion.

It MIGHT be murder, but it certainly isn't clear-cut.

It’s clear cut, and I am 100% confident that a jury would view this as murder and not manslaughter.

No, it isn't. You're probably the only person who thinks it is.

I have no problem with this. A reasonable person has to consider that sucker punching some dude in the back of the dead might just possibly have some very negative consequences. Dude fricked around and found out.

And? If some tries to murder you and fails? Why are you not allowed retribution?

If the system has failed why trust the system?

This doesn’t offend my sense of justice at all. Look for more of this as the authorities stop doing their job. We are being hunted and I’m afraid we need to arm ourselves.

Why is failing at a murder less serious than succeeding at a murder?

That’s not how the law works. This isn’t game of thrones. There are a ton of cases that discuss the so called cooling of the blood of the defendant. In fact I know a armed robbery case where the perp ran and got shot in the back of the head. Argued the same thing but the shooter was found guilty of murder.

Should have shot him when he was still on the ground.

But you can see the guy who punched him was still talking shite when the shooter was leaving. No one knows what he was saying that made the guy shoot. He was probably saying how he was gonna kill the guy who got punched.

Is it the normal expectation that you’ll be rocked in the back of the head while minding your own business? If that happened to you, would you just go about your day as if nothing happened or would you assume that there’s an immediate threat to your life?

It’s easy to watch a video and armchair quarterback but for many of us that have a family, we need to be sure that the threat of further violence is no longer there.
