Subway was great because it was a “fresh” change of pace option that was the same price (or cheaper) than a fast food burger and often more readily available because of their locations in smaller towns. Now, it’s priced like a premium product when there are FAR better options that are often cheaper. Subway CANNOT compete at the insane prices it charges now. Its niche was being convenient and cheap.

Instead of eating a Subway Sandwich I just go eat a head of lettuce in a French Bread as they are about the same.

Subway is by far the worst fast food sandwich option. They deserve to go out of business

FIFY

One of the worst food chains out there. If not the worst relative to it's size and scope.

I've gotten food poisoning twice in the last 20 years and both times it was after eating at Subway.

I go there a couple times per month usually a Sunday or Saturday. The 2 I go to is in a real busy area but even at lunchtime there's only about a 50% chance any customers will be in there. If there is, and there's 2 sandwiches to make ahead of me, I'm waiting about 10 minutes.

There's a Jersy's mikes on the same road way down in a not so busy area, and they usually have customers but move the line faster. Ya'll have me wanting to not go to Subway anymore.

Bread is actually not even bread.
Subway is arse but it's a bit unfair that Subway takes the sole hit for this because the bread at almost every other fast food place, sandwich shop, and 3/4 of the bread available in American grocery stores aren't "actually bread" under the same definition used in Ireland. Subway was just the one that got taken to court over it.
