The stereotype is real, but we got over it. It has been a great vehicle.

my wife is as MAGA as anyone, she's got a pic of her and Ted Nugent together wearing a MAGA hat that he signed for her but I could see her driving one, she doesn't give a shite what anyone would think

I have about 150K miles on my Outback. Have driven it rain, sleet, snow, ice...pretty much everything. It's the best and most reliable vehicle I ever owned. It handles well in all conditions, was not expensive, and has had zero issues. Only thing I've ever done is oil changes, tires, and brakes. Not one major repair required yet
This - My wife is on her second one. Was a blast driving it in the snow here in Louisiana earlier this year.

With the right tires.

FWIW, I've owned some fashion of Subaru for going on close to 30 years now. We have an 18 year old Tribeca with 150k that is my commuter car. The plan is kid will get it when he turns 16 in a year or two...

They're reliable, affordable, and AWD. All things you want if you live in or adjacent to ski areas.

Yet.

J/k, they're cool.

There are other AWDs that work pretty well now, though.

The AWD Ridgeline would be a good choice for up there, too

Same here. It is a real thing though but can be funny. The day after the last election a dude parked next to her in a parking lot told her something like "you must be sad today". She laughed. Based on her choice of vehicle, he assumed that she must have voted for Harris.

Most recently she was driving through the local "No Kings" protest, rolled down her window and gave them some shite. They were shocked that it was coming from a Subaru. They may have pelted her if she was in a white supremacist vehicle.

Lesbo/libtard stereotype aside, they're solid cars. The head gasket issues of old are no longer.

The only real knock is with Symettrical all wheel drive if you get a flat tire you have to change all 4 as it messes it up to have uneven tires.
Unlike say open diff 4x4 where that didn't matter.

I've never had to do that, though I've heard it said many times.

Lived in CO since 1988. Have had 7 Subarus during that time frame. For a car, I wouldn't spend my money on anything else. Swill Army knife of the auto world.

No, not a fig, or leftist or a lesbo or granola eater.

Less this be a lesson to you marketing guys out there. If you target to a niche demographic, be prepared to be married to them (*cough* Altimas *cough*)

My wife drives an Outback. Solid vehicle. Capable. Dependable. Safe. Didn't break the bank.

Got a gently used Outback for my teenage daughter’s first car. Honestly; it’s a badass. The seat is a bit rough for long drives; but, that’s the only fault I can find. Otherwise; it’s been flawless and super reliable. Consumer Reports consistently rates Subaru as the best bang for your buck in cars. I get it now.

We’re a 20+ year Toyota family; but, recently started looking at replacing my wife’s aging car. Not sure how I feel about the newly overhauled Outback; but, the Forester and Ascent are on our list of possibilities for sure.

I think that lesbians started buying up Subarus before they actually started marketing towards them. That is why the decided to target them.

I'm secure enough with my masculinity where it doesn't bother me. Love my outback. My good buddy who is a BIG hunter, leans far-right, a real man's man-he got one for long distance travel for his job, but then eventually traded it in for a big pickup truck. He told me that he wished he still had the Outback, and that it was his favorite car ever, perfect for getting to his hunting spots.

I noticed all the Subaru Outbacks when I was in Colorado. Obviously it's the all wheel drive that makes it a great mountain vehicle.
