The human body wasn’t designed for animal milk consumption after infancy. It’s not wonderful.

Lactase enzymes deplete after childhood. We’ve forced evolutionary changes through behavior but thousands of years ago human adults couldn’t digest it.

In conclusion, it fricks with your body.

I read early on about making sure you basically took a multi vitamin with zinc and vitamin D. Amazing that common sense can combat a virus that is similar to other viruses. But let’s shut down our society!

We pretty much knew this in March based on 100 years of medical science but politicians decided it was better for everyone to lock down and stay inside instead of get out in the sun and be healthy.

I have an old friend - he’s a chiropractor, and a little strange

He told me years ago to take vitamin d - so I do

He also said to get rid of high fructose corn syrup

Yeah I mean non-political doctors were pushing zinc and vitamin d in March like we’ve done for all of eternity.

The first hot zones when the Covid outbreak started were NYC and Seattle, what do they have in common at that time of year? No sunlight!

why would you investigate it further in the heat of a pandemic? thats the beauty of it. It's something that people should be doing anyway.

Because you always have to study things to see if they actually work. Otherwise, you have people doing rain dances and every other nonsense under the sun.

Some things can be studied as they are happening when there is no risk.

Would you really NOT recommend taking a daily vitamin D supplement with some sunlight for the only reason that it wasn’t studied? If a study found that it did work, would you feel ok with not recommending such an innocuous thing earlier? I can’t understand this position at all.

If people want to take it while still practicing masking and social distancing, I have no problem with it. OTOH, I think I've seen people in this thread say they've been taking it for six months without stating if they're deficient, and hey presto, no COVID! Guess what, I haven't been taking it, and also no COVID.

However, I will say I can't help but think of Linus Pauling, the brilliant chemist who pushed mega-doses of Vitamin C for decades, and nobody talks about that anymore. It's a stain on his legacy. I would be surprised if Vitamin D turned out to be the answer for COVID all along.

My NP wife has been taking Vit D for several years for bone health. She is A+ blood type which makes her more susceptible to Covid. She has been around hundreds of Covid patients including some of her co-workers and she hasn’t gotten it.I have been taking Vit D also and I haven’t gotten it either.
Anecdotal,I know but I have read of several studies on Covid and Vit D,seems to be working for us.

1) People along the Mediterranean are already highly pre-disposed to being Vitamin-D deficient.

2) Lock downs with people shuttered in their homes for significant amounts of time can lead to Vitamin D deficiency.

It's hard to really make the claim that Vitamin D has some magical connection to Covid-19.

Joe Rogan had someone on months ago saying that Vitamin D deficiency was an issue for alot of covid cases. She said that she was taking 5k mg D and C plus Zinc. Or he might have said thats what he was taking.

My bout with Covid was docile and I suspected it was due to me taking vitamin D on the daily. Don’t know if that was the case for everyone though.
