At a bar, if you were of age

renting video games

Not really an option until later on. Most everyone had their Atari, etc. at home then.

We used to go to Shakey’s about 1x a month. Unfortunately that’s what we called my grandpa with Parkinson’s.

I lived in a small town, the local hangout served food and had a pool table as well as some arcade games. It's where everyone went.

We would go to construction sites and steal scrap wood to build forts, tree houses, and ramps. We would walk around the site picking up discarded nails

The mall was where I picked up the first random chick I had not grown up with.

Arcades were great. Drew a crowd when we beat TMNT. My friends were better than me in SF2 but I’d kick their asses in King of the Monsters

Grew up poor so I usually snuck into roller rinks but didn’t skate much.

My grandmother owned a bar, in Fat City, so I was playing pool there all the time. It was a quick drive from Rummel to fat city everyday.

The video arcade right by the Piccadilly cafeteria in the cortana mall. Many hours spent playing Tron and Berzek after eating some fried catfish. After that I headed over to the Kaybee toy store to look through the clear packs of baseball cards. Good times

Odyssey Arcade. It was right next to a Godfather's Pizza. Our mums would drop us off on Friday and Saturday nights. Eat pizza, play games and mug with our girls of the month behind that wooden fence.

Which did you prefer? Were you playing arcade games, playing pool, or renting video games from a rental store?

When I was in high school we had a pool hall/game room that we all hung out at.

Now it’s the a parking lot for a bank.
