Students from the 80s and 90s. Arcade, movie rental place or pool hall?

Which did you prefer? Were you playing arcade games, playing pool, or renting video games from a rental store?

Arcades were kind of done for me by the late 80’s. Except for the ones at malls and bowling alleys.

For me as a teen

Pool hall
Bowling alley

As a youngster- the Johnny’s pizza down the street.

Bowling alley is a good one. Especially when they had a pool table room also

Changed as I got older, started out with the movie rental place. Then around the time Street Fighter 2 and MK came out I was in the arcades a good bit before my young teen years when I was in the Skating rink / poolhalls then on to the street racing and underage drinking parties out in the middle of fkn nowhere

Trying to beat rented SNES games in one night made me a man. And probably gave me more anxiety than a 10 year old should have
