Consider yourself lucky I guess . At small schools with fewer teachers and small sized classrooms it will not work here. I have 10 in one class and that is about as spaced as I could be . There is a reason schools are sending home large groups

Imagine lower school age kids in poverty stricken/under funded public schools learning to read, write and grasp the basics of primary education. How can they ever catch up?

class , lunch and bus These all should be 6ft distanced at all times....if not it is a disciplinary problem that lays on the administration of the school especially in today's world...unfortunate but true if you want to continue in person learning.

You clearly have no idea how this works.

We have 2100 kids in the school.

5 positives in one day will easily lead to 100 kids being contact traced. 7 classes x 3 kids around one kid per class period. Plus the bus after that.

You can’t socially distance in classrooms of 25 kids

Most schools across the nation sans NY and CA are open , but I also think some underestimate kids ability to learn . A week here or there bc of contact tracing or virtual learning is not going to “ruin the nation for generations “ as some predict

3 students testing positive does not equate to "students dropping like flies."

Common sense says to shelter those who are in high risk groups and let the disease go through the rest of the population, so we can get this over with quickly.

Must have a big arse classroom to have 25 kids more than 6 feet apart from each other.

I am not saying that I agree that kids 5 feet apart with masks on should have to quarantine.

Just talking about what you describe as the class setup

The OT doesn't take kindly to that kind of info. Watch out.

When I think of "dropping like flies" I think of a lot of dying going on.

Full capacity, in person school here in Texas. No issues. One or two cases the entire year so far.

Protect the vuneranke and get on with our lives.

I hope all of the people that promote this shite lose your jobs first. Good luck getting a job after "everything opens" back up too. A bunch of businesses won't open again.

Idiots

my daughters school has yet to report a single case ?

pretty sure everyone is just hiding it or not talking about it

Pretty much the same at my kids' daycare/pre-school.

Been open full-time since May and only notices have been 1 staff member tested positive and 1 parent teated positive.

They took everything out of the classroom including the teachers desk.....the class room is wall to wall desks....with a small area for the teacher to move around in front.

This is totally incorrect. Flies, with their short lifespans, are lasting a hell of a lot longer than the students are.
