Dated a girl in college for 1.5 years. Prob was the one, but as with both of us...being young and dumb got in the way.
Fast forward 10 years. I had recently divorced and ran into her on a random ski trip with friends in UT. She had recently divorced as well. Anyway, we hit it off and called/texted back and forth....
Two weeks later she was killed in a car wreck. Crazy shite. It’s been almost 20 years and I still think about it everyday.

I think I randomly saw an ex in Denver, 10 years after the latest date we had every hung out. Looked her up on FB and yep it was.

Friend of mine had a story somewhat similar. He was crazy about this girl and they were going to get married, but they were both rehabbing from substance abuse. He broke it off because she had lapsed, but after a long, tearful phone call, they decided to give it another chance. She said she was coming over, but never showed up. He was broken hearted but figured she chose the alcohol instead. About 10 years later he found out she had been killed in a car wreck on her way to his place.

My best friends wedding which I was the best man. In the bridle party stood 3 of my ex gfs. My poor mom in audience was counting them up.
