She looks young but some others photograph as much older than their chronological age. I've known 8th graders who were nearly 6 feet tall and walking in fashion week shows while folks did not realize it. It has just become socially incorrect to acknowledge the objective physical attractiveness of someone until the clock strikes midnight on their 18th birthday.

You can say a girl is pretty when they're underage, but attractive, no. That's just pedophile shite.

^all this. My daughter is an 8th grader. When I read Phantom’s post it made me think of one of her Freuds who’s hit a major growth spurt am is like 5’9”. She’s a very pretty girl. But the key word there is “girl”. No normal man should find her “attractive”. You can tell she’s still very much a kid.

In the words of the noted scholar Alex Jones:

She looks like an old tranny to me.

A literal Freudian slip.

But there is a huge difference in saying a 13 year old is pretty and an 18+ year old.

I haven’t seen anyone saying the character she played on the show is “attractive”. Just the current, of age actress. Maybe I’m wrong

Thanks! I hope she can handle the whirlwind that is probably her life. Spears, Lohan, Cyrus and others come to mind.

Please note:

- I did not start this thread about a young actress.

- I merely responded to someone else's post by pointing out that it has in fact become UNACCEPTABLE (especially here it seems) to acknowledge a person's physical appearance until the actual date of their 18th birthday, as though they somehow magically undergo metamorphosis from a chrysalis to a butterfly overnight.

Oh my! I imprudently used the word "attractive" when I should have said "pretty". My bad. Apparently "pretty" gets upvotes while "attractive" gets castigated. Y'all are such a herd of reactionary finger-pointing cattle. Sheesh. Go shout at the babe thread posters who graphically describe what they would do to the women posted, which I have never done.

Is it okay to say you like someone's singing if they are not yet 18?

Edit: To further clarify, I do not find the actress being discussed as particularly "attractive" (or pretty, in reference to her younger self), nor is she "unattractive". I did not critique her appearance. My comment was about physical appearance in general and the paranoia about it exhibited socially, and which is clearly in full force on this board.

When they move on to the next 13 year old they want to do this to,

Millie Bobby Brown is the producer of the Netflix Enola Holmes movie series which will premier the second installment soon. Word is those will go on for years. She is not some poor exploited young star.

The setting was supposed to be the 80’s. It’s like a LARP version of dungeons and dragons. I’m sure Hollywood gets a lot wrong like other periods of time but what’s ridiculous is there is an entire generation of people alive from that decade to tell you the shite is completely wrong. I get it though. The show was not meant to attract GenX viewers but I bit because I was looking for the nostalgia.

What I ended up with from the 1st season was an modern SJW series that was disguised as a throwback sci-fi coming of age crapper.
