The windfield grows to cover damn near the entire eastern gulf with this Euro run as well.

This Euro run will create inland flooding issues.

Looks like it has no drop off (maybe stronger winds) in intensity after 24hrs on land.

EURO has him quite a bit to the west in the southern gulf on Saturday. Then he takes a sharp NNE turn after that. This thing is all over the place due to likely center reformations.

It's just a big circulation and the center point is too exact for what it's real center is.

Also, this run hits a wall on approach and goes west along the coast before eventual landfall in SWLa. The GFS did similar. So did the UK. Ridge over Missouri slams the door north shut, storm rolls west a little ways, and finds the north way around as the ridge shifts east some.

The Euro stacks the circulation up pretty quickly, which is why you see the quick strengthening there. I'm skeptical of regeneration so quickly.

Just sucks. Got a bird nest with 5 babies that are nested in a cup holder on the wife's bike under the carport. I'm sure a good wind will blow the bike over. Can't move it to a better place. Going to try and brace the bike up for them. Birds are Louisiana Warbler.

Fish, I saw the parents bringing food on a Monday, Friday a baby was hanging out outside the nest, Saturday they were gone
I think they were about a week old when I noticed so there’s a chance they could be gone this weekend.

I was disappointed how quickly they left the nest

Post some pics in the OB thread if you can, I wasn’t able to get any where mine were

This run brings 30-50mph gusts across the entire BR area and 50-70mph gusts to Lafayette-Lake Charles and even 60mph gusts to NORTHwest Louisiana. 2-3 inches of rain for BR.

Similar situation under my patio. Just hope for the best right now I suppose.

brah winds are not a concern with this storm it's rain. at worst case on winds you end up with hurricane barry from last year which might be the shortest lived hurricane ever. I doubt it even gets as bad as that storm and that felt like a nice breezy day with some thunderstorms.

I agree that rain will be a bigger problem but with a steady 20-35mph wind with gusts to 50mph combined with the rain, there could very well be power outages. Tropical systems are a package deal.

Update: The UK model, which is decently reliable but not the best, shows NOLA area with 70-80 mph max gusts with the BR area with 60mph max gusts. The wind threat from this is not non-existent.

Last I looked a couple days ago, they were about the size of a peanut. Going to be much longer before they fly. Got a pair of brown Warblers nesting right off my patio too!.

One of the things I am thinking of doing. Don't know if that will scare off Mom and Dad. So, I am thinking of building a wood frame to block the bike so it will not blow over. Could set that to about half way up height. Don't think that was spook the birds.

Getting shredded now.

In the Levi videos I've watched it sounds like they expect(ed) it to fully fall apart and just become a part of the larger 'gyre' that comes north, and as it gets into water it spins back up as a new storm.
