Haven't followed this thread, so sorry if posted already but here's a 10 minute YouTube video of someone driving around the the Cut Off through Golden Meadow area. Looks rough.

Some random dude named Joe DeGregorio at SWLA Weather on Twitter.

I'd be surprised if it was Joe. He was talking about the wave that became Ida and telling people it wouldn't be a bad idea to get their hurricane supplies ready nearly a week ago.

Umm....does everyone get an outflow boundary in Lake Chuck today?

Y'all baws are under a Flash Flood Warning right now, too.

Yep

Definitely appears to be the worst DTB has been hit since Hurricane Juan. Not surprising given the strength and path of Ida.

That storm in south LC was crazy there for a bit, hail: very high winds and crazyyyy lightning. Cell just sat on top of us for an hour.

Folks asked the other day if Jack Sillin should be trusted and if he is any good. If being ripped off by other supposedly legitimate weather outlets on Twitter is any indication, yes....he's good.

@NickLilja spotted that from an account with 150,000 followers.

Jack Sillin is going to be a pretty prolific researcher one day down the road.

I believe so, too. He's kind of like Philippe and will probably be able to go to work for whoever he wants.

That said, theres a ton of good stuff being done these days by people who don't even have a met degree. Hell of a time for anyone to be studying weather.

IDK what that means but my son in Lafayette got 4 inches of rain and his backyard is flooded AND he has no electricity for the time being.

Honestly, I would love to do this - especially hurricanes.

Without a doubt, I think you would make a great private meteorologist.

Little surprised they classified it i know it's the Western Caribean so want to watch it. Hopefully it just stays buried down there or goes into the pacific.
