I missed that you evaced. That's great! How did you get the stubborn elderly to evac? Telling them Cat4 or 5?

All I know is prayers. I posted a link to our story where we get a lot of support from if prayers are anyone’s thing.

He didn't ... the elderly stayed. He said his obligation was to wife and kids. He's not wrong. But so glad the elderly were ok.

Shows damage to the levee. Looks to be up to 5 or 6 feet of water in some spots. Not good.

Yep, that’s bad.

So is everyone in NO gonna start pooping in their front yard since the sewage pumps are offline?

Katrina reminded friends of mine of skills they learned in boyscouts, how to dig a hole in the backyards and fill it without becoming a health hazard.

Hey guys, been without phone or WiFi all morning. Drove out a little and I’m online. Any word on the Abita/Covington area? Off Dogpound road specifically

They’ve been working to build up the two lane from GM to the bridge for about a year now. I work in Fourchon. Gonna be interesting next Wed when my hitch starts.

I’m referring to areas with severe damage where you could walk into a damaged store or gas station and grab some food. All that shite will be thrown out and replaced by insurance anyways

Not breaking and entering into someone’s house or in areas with little damage

Surprised to see that some parts of Baton Rouge didn't even lose power.

A big chunk along Highland Road didn't lose power. The area near the corner of Perkins and College didn't lose power. Other places too.

I accidently went down a rabbit hole in the comments. This is considered a racist event in the tweets because the irate guy is white and the news caster is black.

It did not, but was based on then existing forecasts. The issue was leaving NOLA, and my comment was not to discourage leaving NOLA, but why leave to go to an area which at the time was forecasted to to be closer to the eye. I will eat my crow tho.

Who_Dat day by day ... focus on your baby and wife

The fortunate thing is my wife and baby are at the same hospital so I’m with both of them throughout. Silver lining is my wife was admitted the day before the storm when she was planning to evacuate with her family so at least we’re all together.

I don’t have anything specific for you, waiting on that myself. Many trees down in the area. Sounds like Katrina levels for the area in terms of down trees.

Many of the main roads sound to be passable
