Shingles. Only reporting from my small corner. I walked my area didn’t see any plywood. There is one house up the street that is down to plywood but it was into the wind so I didn’t attempt that walk.

Getting some really nasty gusts now. Some serious wind howling when it gusts.
Is it 90 it 70? Idk, no real frame of reference.
Wind speed is always overestimated when you're trying to guess it. No doubt it's howling, though.

"Best case scenario. Lake Charles was out 3-4 weeks if I remember correctly and outlying areas even longer after Laura
28 days during a brutal heat wave."
The wind in New Orleans itself was more aligned with the wind in Vernon Parish.
The wind toward Lockport and Cutoff was consistent with the wind in Lake Charles.
Even in Houma (west eye) was more consistent with Laura's wind over in Vinton.
It will be difficult, but those small 10-20 mile jogs make a big difference in damage on the ground. Obviously Lower Jefferson, Lafourche, Terrebonne, Plaquemines, etc. is a different story.

I'd say BR gusts have gotten to around 60.

I’m worried about the rain in the city…not sure what the updated projections are but if it keeps raining the next couple days who knows how long the pumps hold up
Entergy says they have provided backup power to the S&WB so it appears major flooding won't be an issue.

That is what I figure. I'll trust the Tiger Stadium measurement over my own "it's loud so it's gotta be crazy" meter.
