Looks to be slower as well. Still in gulf at 07:00 am on Monday. NHC has it in central LA at that time.

Donald Jones of the National Weather Service Lake Charles is good at this. He does live presentations. Really knowledgeable guy.

Evacs should start on the coast tonight at 6pm, contraflow at 2pm tomorrow. (If it's a major)

I think thats my biggest concern. Theres very little time to really do anything of signifance.
You would have to start now to move the NOLA metro if it was truly under the gun.

This forecast has changed a lot since yesterday. I'm in a bit of a bind here. I have to find somewhere to plant my grandmother but it can't be too far because it's difficult with her. She's on northshore but has oxygen. Obvious answer would probably be further west to texas but that's too far. Jackson is probably an hour or 2 at most ride? I think she could handle that.
I know that's kinda in the path right now but up there would be better than sitting on northshore. Doubt their hotels have generators up there though. I know in biloxi/gulfport they have some but I'm sure as shite not going over there. Any advice? I want to prep now even though I know it's hard based on the path.
