Here’s the view from Leeville, LA, just slightly north of Port Fourchon, LA, where Category 4 Hurricane #Ida made landfall. In the video, you can hear Captain Tommy Burkett talking about a barge that broke loose. #tropics #lawx LINK

Question for you Gustav baws, was gas hard to find for generators and for how long?

I have enough for about 3 days non-stop.

Most of the city was not drivable and the whole city was without power for days, there was curfew every night

Little change in the satellite presentation this morning, but it’s starting to warm just a bit on the land side of the storm.

Duke, I’m seeing stormcast talk of a possible turn northward. What’s that about?

Getting sketchy in Thibodaux. I’m lucky to have a huge row of 40’ trees across the bayou on our north side. It’s blocking the majority of the wind.

Waiting for this in Mandeville. I'm on borrowed time. I did put the AC on 68 to enjoy these last cool hours inside.

Starting to get a little sporty in Thibodaux. Think the worst won’t hit us for a couple hours though

Yep. I have a sister in BR and brother in NOLA that needed to "stay to watch the house" when I asked them to come here yesterday.
