Yeah, we got dealt a shitty hand last year. Doesn’t mean we need to play the perpetual victim card.

How is being on edge more so than usual/freaking out a bit make us seem like we are playing the victim card????

will you please stop cluttering up the thread with your BS

No thanks.

Until people around here in SWLA stop freaking out about every single weather event, I'll continue to call them out. It is getting old quick.

With the current setup the stronger it is the more it can push the ridge so the more east it will go

Hurricanes don’t push anything along.

The stronger it is, the more it is influenced by the edge of the ridge.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just being honest.

But I'll drop it for the sake of staying on topic.

Well if you haven't noticed the weather has gotten slightly more intense in recent years i.e. 2016 flood, the downpour this past May and the occasional storm that whips up in the afternoons that looks like the world might end for a second. Oh yea and last hurricane season...I'm just not sure what's blinding you exactly.

what a badass.

People in SWLA have every right to get nervous and frankly you have decent odds of looking like an absolute moron in here if this thing does take a slight jog west. Which this far out is entirely in play.

Pretty crazy to see the Euro with that low pressure that far north still.

Typically shear, dry air, and lack of water will tear a storm up quickly over land.

However in rare cases you can have moist air and low shear over land and the storm will take much longer to expel its energy. These are ones that cause major damage further inland
