Just got on the road and left Livingston Parish headed for Lafayette to get a little west of this thing. Roads are clear!

I surely hope those folks still in GI are at least sheltered at the school. That is the absolute only place strong enough for this storm.

I understand people are worried about looters but the looters are probably going to die, and everything's going to be underwater so who cares? Protecting ruined property just sounds like the most irrational thing possible

I'm amazed that people in harms way choose to ride this out. Friends went through Irma on St. John and said it's the most traumatizing experience of their lives. They had no choice and at least there's high ground there.
