Well there’s a silver lining for us on radar. Doesn’t look as impressive as the pressure makes it out to be.
Unfortunately that’s probably just a result of the distance on the radars.

We have two dogs over here that are freaking each other out with the rain. They’re on the fast track to getting a Xanax.
The third is only worried about where he’s going to lay out.

Man can’t believe there’s people in Grand Isle thinking they’re riding this out.

Correct. For those who have been keeping track of the path through BR, it has wobbled back towards the city.
Previous path had it going through Port Vincent.
Current path has it going through Shenandoah.
I think this is maybe due to the forward speed and an earlier landfall than originally expected.. which takes it farther inland on the same path before getting pulled NE

Or it could be that the vast majority or radars compared to the resolution the one in LC had are garbage.

They’re fricked.

Are you the idiot that bought the evaporative cooler to use in Louisiana after a hurricane?
No, I was responding to that guy. I got two different ones from a family member that were bought for a room at my house and was letting him know they don’t work

You mean the guy that bought a generator AND a cooler? Guess he doesn’t want to use his AC with the generator.

I don’t think survival is likely for anyone that stupid.

To anyone awake between Baton Rouge and Slidell,
Please do me this one favor (if you are not packing or on the road) if you are awake:

You can send em to me out in CO. They'd be great for the week a year we need A/C here.

Benedryl works really good for dogs.

One of the best interviews someone gave last year was the Port Arthur, TX mayor before Laura came in…
He said “we gave you a mandatory evacuation order. It’s obviously up to you if you stay, but if you need help, I’m sorry, but my guys are not being put in harms way for people who decided to stay anyway. What happens to you is between you and God. Once the storm passes, then we can help.”

I went to bed around 2:30 and set an alarm for this update.
When I went to be a 2:30 the recon aircraft had to turn around for some reason, but the storm was bombing out at that point. Have we been able to get an aircraft back in there since?

I’m guessing the guy has central air, i don’t think he bought a generator big enough to run a central ac unit. He said he couldn’t find a window unit. Hell , it’s hard to even run a window unit with a generator if it’s not a big one , if you have other stuff rumning

I blame YouTube for my overconfidence to stay. I’ve watched hurricane hunters ride the storm out in their cars at car washes and make it through unharmed . Obviously I’ll be fine in a house
