CNN is now LIVE with national coverage and they had Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng on just now and she told people if they haven't left yet to sit tight and hunker down (note the time 4:09AM CT to pull the clip after the storm).
What absolutely awful leadership. She should have gave an update on the traffic and had more of a tone of the Mayor of Rockport, TX before Hurricane Harvey in 2017, "We’re suggesting if people are going to stay here, mark their arm with a Sharpie pen with their name and Social Security number."
She could have influenced dozens of locals that may have been watching her at this hour to get on the road. Instead it is like the politicians are all doubling down on not want to offer any services.

That’s the thing, they don’t work at all. You would literally have the exact same results with a box fan . Maybe even worse because box fans blow harder than that thing does.
They both blow the same temp air as a box fan does. Just not as hard as a box fan

He sounds like he is laying in bed on the phone. He couldn't even bother to get on Zoom like the Jefferson Parish President.
How about a little enthusiasm or urgency in your voice to help relay the magnitude of worst case scenario as this storm bears down? BE A LEADER.

Lol, if it’s the one that says to put the filter in water then freeze it , for even cooler air , after you fill the tray with ice water, then you got ripped off

Lee is a character, but to be fair, Morgan City is in a lot better shape right now than it was a day or two ago. Looks like they’ll dodge the bullet a bit here, although it will still be a little hairy.

I have a buddy that spends a lot of time in Grand Isle and he said one of the groups of people that decided to stay is a family of 4.
