You did not get 160 mph winds north of Covington for Katrina. GTFOH

I had a friend tell me he saw the satellite images over our surrounding area and they were purple. Chris Katrina was a beast. Whether it was 160 mile an hour winds or 100 tornadoes it was devastating. And I ain’t rich.

Nah. Chalmette is better than Destrehan for this storm, and anything further East is lagniappe for major impacts.

I'm lucky to live right near a hospital and they're usually the first ones to get power back so I'm not without power for very long.

I am truly concerned if the storm makes a few more of these wobbles to the East, it will push the eye wall over Barataria Bay pushing a wall of water against the West Bank Levees. Those levees haven’t been tested in years.

I know there was a good bit of levee infrastructure levee reinforcements made around Lafitte.

That’s the thing about this thread. Tons of useful information. Way more than any other place. But you still have people who are storm whores and jacking their dicks for this to be a 4

Holy shite.

That security at MSY is fricking awful at 5:30a on a normal day. That’s at least 2+ Hours of waiting time.

Bernard is in Nola because he likes parading around Oz. The only thing he knows better than storms is his way around a pole.

It’s the 4pm, just takes a second to load.

Eta- frick me, it was copied directly from the NHC 4pm map. If it doesn’t fix itself soon I’ll try it again.
