So every swinging d*ck at the gas station in south LC on BL road was filling up gas cans…. Am I missing something?
Yea the people of Louisiana are either completely stupid or they are just scared to death. Maybe a combination of both lol.I bounce back between Sabine and Vernon and there is hardly any gas to be found anywhere here in the western part of the state.

Katrina went from a 1 to a 5 in 13 hours.

It’s called unpredictability. No way anyone can actually tell what’s going to happen and what it will do, but they can give us an idea as to how strong it’ll get.

If I remember correctly that happened right when it hit the loop current. It has been in the loop current for the last 12 hrs.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...85 MPH..
If that’s all it’s done in 6 hours this is a nothingburger. Cat 3 could end up being off the table if it doesn’t ramp up soon with how fast it’s moving. However it looks way stronger on satellite so it’s possible the winds haven’t worked down to the surface just yet

Was expecting at least 95-100 in this update.

It looks like they have it keeping its speed a little bit longer once it makes landfall.

Track shifted a couple of miles west. The WAFB weather app lets you zoom in on the center line. At 4 am it was going through Lejeune and now it’s a little west of there.

Has anyone gone from St. Tammany or Jefferson parish to the panhandle, if so how long did it take y'all?
Posted on 8/28/21 at 10:01 am to Oates Mustache
Yeah, they actually are calling for a 130mph Cat 4. I looked at the discussion from the last advisory.

WAFB has an excellent weather app.
