I was without power for a month and internet service for nearly 2 months. I had to depend on cellular data. Tree fell on the house, stayed nearly 5 months with a tarp on the roof. I had a pile of trees taller than my house till mid October. I still have a few pieces of vinyl siding still missing.

Im down the bayou every weekend. Theres people down my grandparents street still with tarps. Pretty sure they took the insurance money for a new silverado. Engine blew on it so I dont like saying karma, but...

Fwiw we couldnt find the right color for the front so we painted the whole thing till insurance decided to pay us. Ripped it all out and went with hardy board

I was on the “ride out” crew at work, so I wasn’t home for any of the fun. I sent my family away since I couldn’t be with them. As I watched the path I knew it wouldn’t be good. My wife had a friend that went down my road after the storm passed and took pictures of what should have been my mom’s house. You could only see trees. I’m so thankful I told my mom she needed to leave.

local teachers requesting 2 hurricane days to be used to delay the start of school, it just aint fair that this storm hit while we were already off

I hope we get a nice breeze and some rain in Mandeville.... cut this heat down. Let the meat of this one stay offshore. We still have a ways to go this season.
