That is always a potential in these sorts of situations.

Need this thing to wobble a little further north so it slides closer to BR on Thursday morning.
Don't feel like going into the office that day (or any day).

Sunny in Perdido Key
Double Red switched to Red. At least I can go in the water during hydration breaks.

Hence the mitigation plan of driving but need to make an informed decision sooner rather than later

why does the NWS bulletin say that it shifted north of the forecast when that shows that it didn't go nearly as northward as it was predicted?

supposed to be more of a Baton Rouge problem
Meanwhile those of us between Houma and Grand Isle were without power for over a month and dealing with cleanup for months...

The center is pretty irrelevant
The worst stuff is all south of center

So trying to fly into MSY tomorrow night from Houston.. should I say screw it and rent a car and drive?
Is switching to an afternoon flight an option? Earlier flights should be fine. Later evening is probably going to start getting iffy given the current forecast track and timeline

I remember during my college day we would cheer and throw Hurricane Parties. Those were the days. I remember even after Hurricane Andrew Guns N Roses & Metallica came to the Superdome. Axel was being a dick. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms were cool back then!

Because it did shift north slightly in the short term but the forecast track lies pretty close to the previous one in the longer term. It goes further north before making "landfall" then rides the coast just like previously forecast.

So where is the shite at? It is stilll 10000000000 degrees outside with no sight of a rain cloud.
Posted on 7/21/26 at 11:31 am to LivingstonLaw
To be fair, there are barely any clouds near the center of this thing in the middle of the ocean!

There nothing out there. Trump trolling you. Explains why he turned the shite off last week.

My freshman year at LSU there was some hurricane that wasn't worth evacuating for. A few guys who weren't from the south set up in one of the common areas, opened all the blinds, and were going to stay up all night to "see the hurricane." We said hey dumbasses, you know it's just rain and wind, right? They thought they were going to see something show up as if it were a sunrise
