Ever since I moved from NOLA to Charleston it's like I've attracted storms. None of them were anything compared to this. Please go further east I don't feel like dealing with this.

And we are just now passing the 1 year anniversary of last year's big flood.

My place did great for that one water wise even though I live near a marsh but I'm more so worried about wind for my two massive trees.

Not going to lie, it feels pretty damn creepy outside. It is muggy as hell, but just a light overcast layer of dark clouds. Barely a whisper of wind right now. Looks like the southern coast of Haiti is going to take it straight to the face.

You live downtown Babo? I live near Hampton Park and we were under 3 feet of water last year during that storm. Anything on the outer edges of the peninsula will be swamped. We've been running flooding models in our hazards lab all day and with the current saturation of the soil and river levels it's not going to be good.

Thankfully it won't be a king tide though..

Stay safe man.

OK so they're asking on the Rant ... Gainesville will/will not be affected by this??? Will another away game become a home game? I didn't like the westward movement of the cone posted above.

(eta and YES football isn't nearly as important as these poor people who are about to be slammed. We have a priest from our area who has a mission in Haiti and has done a WONDERFUL job there ... I hate to see his many many years of hard work undone.)

I'm supposed to fly back from Columbus Sunday morning to Reagan National. That might be dicey.

If you're on southwest they will very likely post a waiver early. American usually takes their time posting waivers

It all depends on the front moving across the plains today.... The speed of that will determine the direction of Matthew.
