Stopping the flow of traffic to let someone in should be against the law

I almost got rear ended twice this week alone from assholes in front of me just randomly stopping to let someone in and the assholes behind me not paying attention.
I understand the desire to be nice to other drivers because, hey, we've all been there where we need to be let onto the roadway but in all honesty this creates a very hazardous situation.
Keep the flow of traffic and stop being a nice jackass. This causes accidents which result in lawsuits which raise all of our insurance rates.

Yep. You let people out when the light is turning red, or when you haven't started moving yet in the case that it just turned green. While these idiots no doubt feel good about themselves for letting someone else in, they're simultaneously disregarding the people behind them.

Woman did this to me the other day on Metairie Rd. She stopped to let someone turn left from Metry Rd and someone who wanted to turn right onto Met. Rd from a side street. The 2 dip shits turning looked at each other and couldn't decide who wanted to turn first.
I look in my rear view mirror and traffic is now completely backed up all because this woman wanted to let people turn.

What he's talking about has nothing to do with zipper merging, and I agree with him 100%. All it does is cause confusion and is a potential for wrecks.

That was on full display for me just 30 minutes ago. Going through a roundabout, I had the right of way. Some a-hole in a dumptruck entered the roundabout RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME then had nerve to yell at me when I stopped and laid on my horn at him.

I thought it was obvious he's not talking about at a red light. People basically stopping and turning at 5 MPH into a shopping center or something is what he means.

The idiots that get my goat are the ones that are in the left hand lane of street and go to make a left hand turn, but first have to swing into the right hand lane like they are trying to make the turn with a semi.

And, I fricking GUARANTEE you that same stupid piece of shite will see someone waiting to come out of a parking lot, but pull up right in front of them and block the driveway when stopping for a red light.
If we'd just kill the dumb half of the population, we'd solve so many problems, but I'd miss you guys.

Anyone who stops to wave someone out and prevents the flow of traffic is responsible for any accident caused by such action. They don't have the authority to conduct traffic like a police officer.
This is extremely dangerous when people are taking left turns and wave people coming out of the street they are turning into who also want to take a left turn. That person tends to rush and are less careful often forgetting to look the other way and get t-boned. The driver who waved them out is technically at fault.
