Stopped by the Grand opening of Dolly Parton gas station

I give it a 7/10 remembering that buckees started from a single gas station.
Dolly didn't cotton to buckees putting a big arse store at the Dollywood exit so she's not going to give up the interstate gas station in TN that easily.
love that woman! If anyone can do it she can.
Lots of experiments going on. Coffee shop, restaurant, bbq store where they make each sandwich to order (brisket and pork butt), a leather couch lounge which is nice.. Off to one side.
Very small snack section which surprised me and stocking a local TN beef jerky company.
Play areas, separate dog run and an amazing guitar chandelier which I failed to photograph. Bummer we missed seeing her, she was on site yesterday.
Anyway, she converted an existing gas station so it's not the scale of Buckees... yet..but like Coach O says...we comin'

So you don’t like Buc-ee’s, but want Dolly’s to essentially become one?
FWIW - smart move by Dolly. Buc-ee’s has shown folks a new way to cash in. Everyone on the road needs gas. On longer drives, everyone needs food and a clean pisser. If you can nail those 3 in one stop, opportunities are endless.

Dolly is one of hte greatest living Americans.
The amount of philantrophy she does in East Tennessee and with literacy is incredible. She's given away something like 100 million childrens books.

Buc-ee's is just too damned big.
Stopped in Pass to get a kolache and there were 100s of people in there. Mostly customers not employees.
