Well no that hasn’t happened to me but I assume we are in different fields
It’s mostly Sunday night for me

I will be honest. When I changed jobs and took that pay cut. The first couple of checks were eye watering.

I’ll probably do it down the line when I’m old like you. (Probably because I’ll get laid off)
But it will still be around the same line , just a different industry

No wonder you haven't been here. I passed the Wendy's the other day, and the drive thru line was out in the street. I'll bet they have worked your arse off.

Thanks for the tip about Wendy's I know a couple of teenagers looking for summer jobs.

Glad you were working. I thought your Mom grounded you off the computer or something.

He is one of the young idiots in here. He is fun to bat around, but you can't take anything he says as serious.

They laughed him off the Poli Board. He will probably pop back up over there in a day or two.

This isn't welfare reform. If the government is already paying your tab, you don't get a raise. This is to help the working person that doesn't already get subsidized from the govt, to help them.

Sounds like the Dems don’t want a repeat of the tax cut boondoggle. We are already bankrupt from the first republican giveaway which cut taxes significantly below the cost to operate.

They should require economics classes for all degrees.

The two are not necessarily synonymous.

In his case. They are.

I’m not a fan of a stimulus package to just anyone because when I got them(which I didn’t need them) I blew it. It was free money and I treated it that way.

Sorry you're short sighted. Maybe this time give it to responsible Adult or parent.

Is it being a retard? Because if so, they need to give him a raise.

I’m no economist, but I’m skeptical about WHY we need a 2 trillion stimulus package. I can see needing more supplies like masks, gowns, respirators. CVS, Walgreens, grocery companies are hiring 1000’s of workers....

I have alot of acquaintances and only 2 were temporarily laid off so far. Most have at least a spouse that is still working. They’ll have to tighten the belt and have a few less Starbucks lattes for a few weeks. Just seems like another cash grab, especially once this gets passed and the crisis all blows over. Just more debt for Americans and money in someones pockets...won’t be mine. Sad for folks that have been laid off if it truly is that bad..just not seeing this in my circle.

It is and it always is. Republicans will try to tell you it's a DNC thing. It's both sides. They're just arguing over who benefits. In neither case will it be the public.

The fed has been privatizing profits and socializing losses for over a hundred years now.

Well if neither side "saves" us from this "crisis" then neither side will be able to claim a political victory.

That's really all it is....both sides are going by the great Alinsky thought process of never letting a disaster go to waste.
