1200 a person
2400 a couple
500 a kid

Limits are $75k for individuals and $150k for a couple.

Both seem to be fine on that. Sticking point is limits on stuff for corporations that get $.

House has some bill that’s asinine and not even worth the paper it’s printed on to wipe your arse.

Republicans want to send Americans money and Democrats want to send money to study how much cow poop warms up Ohio.

And whether we pay off all USPS debt, regulate airline carbon emissions, create subsidies for windmills, change our election laws and form diversity requirements for publicly traded boards. Other than that, not much difference.

I think they are fine with it for the most part. I would guess they just want limits like you can’t pay execs bonuses if you take money until you pay it back.

At least I hope it’s something like that and not stupid shite like capping pay or forced board diversity quotas.

I think the house bill is some sort of negotiation tactic from the left. At least that’s my hope. Frankly it’s pretty dumb because the optics look bad but the media won’t call them on it so if probably doesn’t get noticed.

Only thing to add is that you’re not necessarily out if make over the limits. You lose $5 for every $100 over in salary. Then completely phased out at 100,000 individual or 200,000 married.

Only hazy details on minimums. I’ve seen numbers floated out where people making under 30K don’t get anything, or get a declining amount as well.

I’m not a fan of a stimulus package to just anyone because when I got them(which I didn’t need them) I blew it. It was free money and I treated it that way. This money needs to go to people who truly need it. If your getting government assistance sitting on your arse then you should get nothing. If you were working and no longer working then you should get more than someone who is still working but isn’t making the 75k.

Pretty sure I saw that as well. Lower income, not sure the threshold, would get 600 for an individual and 1200 for a family.

That could be a sticking point but frankly low income pay less in taxes and in fact many get more than they pay each year via EIC. But different payment levels may be viewed as “unfair”
