I think it's Steven's cousins who were into all that rape porn and who testified against Steven

But her boyfriend seems pretty shady also

It was the neighbor with the hunting lease.
The DA should have already been sentenced to death in this case. He is a huge POS.

Dude is guilty as sin.

Until they have evidence and conviction of another killer then this scumbag will rot in jail. His mom does seem like a really sweet person tho

The major one is that the bones were given to Hallbach family while Steve Avery was in the middle of his appeal process. This was never disclosed to the defense. It was only found when Zellner requested new DNA testing be done on the bones. The state then came forward saying they didn’t have the bones.

The Dassey computer is another big piece. The state said it had no info on it and said it was not worth a search by the defense. Zellners people found all kinds of child pornography and pictures of dead bodies. The state had this info at the orginial trial.

There are 4 or 5 other violations she brings up but those are the bigs ones

I didn’t watch the show. So who do they think did the crime if not these two?

He killed her, but cops also planted the key and directed an illegal search of the grounds to find the car. Probably did some other shady shite too.

Lol. If you watch S1, interrogators really did make him think he could get home to watch wrestling if he agreed with the story they were totally feeding him

My thoughts too. Planted blood too.

Yeah.

Avery did it I think. That doesn't absolve the State for all the shady shite they did, but he murdered her.

I don't think Brendan should be in prison though.

I think he killed her and the cops knew it but couldn't prove it.

So they framed a guilty man illegally. The planted blood is so obvious.

I also don't think Brendan Dassey did a damn thing and that kid is mentally retarded and was railroaded.

As far as the illegal search (planted key notwithstanding), I'm not sure who I agree with. If he ACTUALLY committed the murder, and they searched his property illegally and found actual evidence that he killed the girl, I believe it should be fair game.

What is the counter argument to this? And I'm not arguing this from a legal aspect. More from a, he murdered someone, and I don't really care how it's uncovered that he is found guilty.

If I'm the defense, and they insist that she was raped and murdered in that bedroom, but there is 0 evidence of a struggle, I'd be arguing that the cops murdered the girl, burnt her body, hid the car and planted the key.

How else would the police have had the key to plant. Why was the key not found in the first search especially in plain site? If the police in fact did plant the key, how did they get their hands on it to plant?

Meh...brendan dassey should be freed. I don't think he has anything to do with the murder.

Steven Avery, on the other hand, is VERY sketchy. The first season of the documentary skips over a lot of details about the case.

That is a terrifying stance to take.

You cannot EVER be ok with police illegally searching anyone or anything. That slope isn't just slippery, it's "Oprah on a water slide covered in baby oil" slippery.

They probably found it somewhere else on the grounds

From what I have read Avery has always been a bad guy, but that doesn't give the police and DA the right to manufacture evidence. IMO, he did it and will likely eventually be set free because of all crap that went on to convict him. Scary.

Kathleen Zellner is one bad arse chick for all the false convictions she has overturned.

Then why the need to put it in the bedroom? Just say you found her car key on the property. Eliminates the possibility of being caught planting the key with the same proof of him killing her.

Bc the MC cops are dumb. In their mind they needed to undeniably tie SA to the crime and didnt feel the key just being on the grounds was enough. This guy had already been set free once and they weren’t going to let it happen again.

So Avery will get off, while the retarded nephew stays in jail the rest of his life?

On the way into Green Bay from Chicago I always drive by the penitentiary, and used to always honk and wave to Brendan...just to make sure he knew someone was rooting for him.

Yeah, #CSB.

(though I believe he was moved to a pen down near Madison a while back)
