I get a kick out of grown arse men who pay others to cut their grass for them. Come on, man. Take an hour or two a week out of your bitch arse schedule to take care of your own shite before your wife fricks someone who will.

Boo hoo. I was slinging a chainsaw and loading up all the wood from a tree that fell at noon yesterday so I could relax today.

What type of mower?

I'll probably start around 10:30am. It's hot but not a big deal.

For others who ask why not hire someone to do it, I don't any longer because they don't care about your lawn. They scalp areas, take out some landscaping here and there and knock out chunks of your fence as they go as fast as possible to get it finished.

+1. Looking over a fresh cut and edged lawn is a really underrated satisfying feeling.

I concur.

Do the math on a weekly lawn service after let’s say, 15 or 20 years. You will be shocked at the results of that investment.

Not to mention that there is a certain satisfaction with doing your own lawn like a real man.

I HATE doing yard work and I can afford to pay someone else to do it for me, so frick all that.

Same here. I'm in Indiaia and will start in about an hour. It's only mid 80s right now, but it's as humid as Louisiana right now and the a cloud or speck of wind in the sky. At least I'll get one hell of a blowjob when I get out of the shower immediately after. Ita a great routine we have going.

I 100% agree with the satisfaction and I cut my own grass. Having said that, plenty of people can make way, WAY more money per hour in their profession than they can save by cutting grass. And plenty of people work so much that they prefer their small amount of down time to be spent on things other than cutting grass. Again, I cut my own grass (actually enjoy doing it) but I can understand why others do not and do not look down on neighbors when their lawn service pulls up to their house.

How much is your time worth? If your a plant baw, then cut your own grass and make fun of the dudes that don’t and say they aren’t real men. But if you make enough in ten minutes of work to pay a messican, like to play with your kids or your hot wife’s fake tits when not working, then be a real man and pay for it to be done while you live life like it is supposed to be lived by men who get it done.

Your time off is worth twice your normal hourly rate so if you’re making the bare minimum OT poor rate of $100k then paying someone $25-50 is worth gaining that hour plus back with your OT7+ wife.

Is this example still in the first paragraph of the Cost-Benefit Chapter of Econ 2010? the Physician cutting his own grass example.

My take(as a 39.5 hr/work week guy) is it's something we can do almost as good or better than a pro without much skill or special equipment(most homeowners have a weedeater and mower). That feeling afterwards can't be easily quantified.

Secondly it's a good way to get a good workout/sweat while doing something necessary around the house.
For people like me who have a gym at work but no membership at home, this is a no-brainer.
