That's the point. CRT has infiltrated every institution in the Western world

Depicting a saint in a local ethnicity is fine if that help bring people to Jesus. But I doubt that’s happening here.

He may of not been fully black. But at the very least he was brown skinned.

What

I would heavily, heavily advise against telling Israelites and Egyptians they are black.

Born in Northern Africa. He could have been black. I doubt he was a dark black, but he wasn’t white.

Lol he was a north african from the area previously inhabited by the Carthaginians. He would look like today's Italians/Greeks.

During the whole Cleopatra thing, I saw a quote from some historian/scientist that present day Egyptians and not quite the same as those from antiquity. The Arab conquest brought in a change in demographics. The guy didn't say it but I'm thinking they may have had an influx of Mongolians as well. I'm not sure where St. Augustine fits in this time line, though.

Name the country in Africa that isn't a tribal, slave trading shithole. South Africa doesn't count.

He came from a Berber family. Probably is rightly considered black. Descended from Stone Age North African tribes.

You might have a good point if Berbers were black.

But they’re not. That doesn’t mean they look like Northern European whites. But they’re not black as in sub-Sahara black either.

Obviously, these arguments can get silly. Just as "Northern European" white folks aren't the only type of white folks, "Gold Coast" West African black folks aren't the only type of black folks.

Tunisians can be quite dark even today. Tribesmen who have been there since before Roman times. Rome called these people Berbers and Numidians. They are often depicted in Roman artwork as quite dark. Because of the communication the Med allowed, certainly would have allowed for variation of hue (all of North Africa was like this at this point).
