That statue needs to be scrubbed with Willy P’s bronze cleaner.

Everyone knows he's a good guy, way better than Lincoln.

So. Same citizens of that city torn down a statue that was privately owned and on private property.

Tear the murderer down! That’s how it’s done right?

When will the offended people tear this one down??

It'll happen when people like you stop whining about it, put on your big boy pants and make it happen.

But I'm sure you'd rather just hide in your mom's basement and bitch about it on the internet.

Keep it up. They mock the statue all the time. Dress it in drag. Paint on it and such.

More a joke than a monument to a Lost Cause movement.

But it's so fun to pretend that half the country worships this Lenin statue in order to justify my view that my tax dollars should be spent maintaining monuments to traitors.

From wiki:

Lewis E. Carpenter, an English teacher in Poprad originally from Issaquah, Washington, found the hollow monumental statue lying in a scrapyard with a homeless man living inside it. The Lenin statue was waiting to be cut up and sold for the price of the bronze. Carpenter had met and befriended Venkov in an earlier visit to Czechoslovakia. Carpenter's initial interest in buying the statue was to preserve it for its historic and artistic merit. Later he intended to use it to attract customers for an ethnic Slovak restaurant he wanted to open in Issaquah.

Something fitting about finding a statue of Lenin laying on its side in a scrapyard with a homeless man living inside of it.

Soviets who suffered from communism tore down Lenin statues in the early 90s, and 30 years later, Americans are erecting them.

Clown World.

Since when are private property rights a barrier to uncontrolled outrage?

He's right although it is hilariously ironic to think about. It is on private property and the guy that owns it isn't a communist. Jordan Peterson also collects Soviet art and propaganda and no one gives him shite for it.

A glowing Soviet-style red star or Christmas lights have been added to the statue during the holiday season since 2004.[7][22] For the 2004 Solstice Parade, the statue was made to look like John Lennon. During Gay Pride Week, the statue is dressed in drag.[7]

It's privately owned on private land and isn't some communism inspiration. Just some trash a collector picked up and died before he could make proper plans for it. It's a nice little frick you to Russia in a way, and kinda funny it's there of all places.
