This will have a huge impact and I'm glad they are doing it. Maybe they can fix up the gov mansion curve and widen Airline Highway one day soon too.
A new bridge is desperately needed at Plaquemine Point though. No getting around that.

You commute from br to laffy? Me too...i drive in at 5 am and out at 330 pm. It's rarely bad. good luck finding work in laffy...i been trying for a while (i'm a plant baw)

When I went to the open house the DOTD people thought maybe no one would be impacted, but as many as four or five could be. I think they would have to do some actual surveying and plan drawing to find out. Maybe some test piles?? I didn't ask why the uncertainty, but for most of the widening they said they already had the ROW that they required.

Where did you find that map? The only details I can find on the news outlets is this from The Advocate:

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the actual interstate lane becoming an instant exit. I’m sure it’s kinda on their radar to fix that.
