As McKay said in his article. This isn't really about masks. It's about shutting down the session other than passing a budget.
They're providing cover for JBE. He gets up at his press conferences and says the Legislature is essential. DEM legislators all clamor about public safety and head straight to the media to try and shame the super-majority GOP.
It's their only play. Maddie...ahem Rep. Landry even admitted to it since they were hearing LABI bills that JBE has been trying to squash.
Heck, JBE showed up to LABI's annual meeting and spoke in an attempt to smooth things over ahead of the session. He knew he was in for a fight. This is all he's got.

Bill to legalize prostitution.
I think the perverts and liberty minded of the OT can agree to bury the hatchet with Mandie while this bill makes it way through the hive of scum and villainy.

The bill looks just to study the issue and give direction, seems she might know what the response would be.

The smarter folks of the OT realize this is merely a Bill designed to protect her green-haired penis guillotining nutjob so she can claim "I misunderstood him when he paid me and told me to get him off"

He does. This year he spoke, though.

I don't follow this argument.
My libertarian lizard brain sees it like this:
Abortion: It's not your body, it's another DNA unique person, and you're infringing on the rights of the unborn person. Specifically, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Wearing Masks: It's not about you, it's about others. Your rights are unlimited until they infringe on the rights of others. In this case, risking infecting others with your disease. Is wearing a mask really all that much of a burden in times like these? Or pants, for that matter? We don't have that "liberty" either.

It says...
quote:
Proposed law repeals these provisions of present law and directs the La. State Law Institute
to study and issue recommendations for any changes to other provisions of present law
necessary to effectuate and conform with the purposes of proposed law.
I read that as it repeals the laws listed and calls for a study to make sure there are no loopholes that would prevent this from being allowed. Kinda like changing the legal age of the buyer of alcohol in the 80's but still allowing the 'sell' of alcohol to someone.

Other people can protect themselves from my mask-less self by staying inside their own fricking homes. Just like 6 months ago. It’s their choice.

90% of those wearing masks are doing it wrong. "Masks" don't really protect, not the way we are using them.

David Davis The goons Tigerdroppings, especially the OT and political board do not believe in masks. They believe in ‘Murica. Good ole fashion redneck ways of life where women and black people know their place. Fight on Mandie!

If you're that afraid of the coronavirus, you're free to wear a mask and gloves, or even better...stay home. You can get groceries delivered or have them ordered ahead of time to pickup outside at a lot of stores.

My bet is that Mandie knows her way around a condom or two, or two hundred.
