The difference is that she started this by throwing out barbs at republican lawmakers. TD responded with pics of her engaging in the same behavior she was lambasting republicans for and throwing in OT'isms to boot. Then she attacked OT as a bunch of misogynist white supremacists, so the OT followed her home to facebook where she continued to engage them. So many mistakes were made by her. At least she stopped posting at 2:00am last night and didn't resume this morning.

It was such typical liberal, elitist, narcissism, condescension, tunnel-vision combined with supreme ignorance to the culture of the OT with all the inside jokes which sent them over the edge. The total lack of self-awareness is beyond their ken because, HEY, we're so MUCH smarter than you, [insert insult].

Anything that isn’t lockstep aggressively “progressive” or whatever Communists want to call themselves these day, is considered “far right wing”. What’s funny is these people are so uneducated that they believe far right wing = fascism = Nazis.

Nazis were another left wing ideology. All extreme left wing ideologies are about big government control. The further right you go the less and less government you have. Far right wing would be closer to anarchy or basically the city-state model of Ancient Greece.

But what do I know, other than reality?

She has probably been advised by a veteran Pol to step back a bit. Her night was ruined last night and a good part of her day was wasted doing E-battle.

I would not be surprised if she has a good meal with a LA vintage wine, then slips off while thumping her legume this evening. I hope she gets a good nights rest.

Does anyone else remember a State Representative from NOLA named Charles Borello (or something like that) late 1960's to early 1970's...

I remember reading in the Picayune when he first got to Baton Rouge about a number of bills he proposed, one of them was to only allow sale of 12oz cans of beer...

I can't say that Mandie stepped on it as she is of the female gender, but she did make some incredibly bad decisions and choices that will probably wreck her political career before it really gets off the ground...

TulaneLSU, it would be fun if you could do a Top 10 of messages in this thread, please make it so.

I half arse troll over there. They are too damn easy. I feel I am really close to getting the ban hammer though.

I've met some pretty good people there though. It seems most were picked on growing up so they have self esteem issues and get defensive too easy.

To be fair most of reddit isn't much different from DU, the place where Rex got banned for being right wing.

Meh - people like Rand Paul or the House Freedom Caucus are certainly advocates for smaller government. The Republicans are essentially modern day blue dog Democrats.

They want to sit at home and collect government money. But they want doctors, scientists, journalists, teachers, lawyers, nurses, retail people, etc. Etc. to do all the work while the benefits for all is damn near equal.

They have no idea what they're asking for as far as a monstrosity.

They, the far left, are much more like Hitler and the like than moderates and rights. They just think because Hitler "killed a bunch of people" and was a WWII enemy, that the right is so much more more in line. ABSURD.

That's why it's humorous to me that they have labeled this some kind of far right wing forum.

What irritates me is that some liberals like Mandie are quick to call out an entire forum as a certain type, yet will insist that people are individuals and each person's views are their own.

I really laughed when she stated that none of "her constituents" would be on a board like the OT.

In Louisiana, the Republicans literally WERE blue dog democrats up until 10 years ago. The "Republican majority" in the legislature is a plurality of democrats who switched parties to keep getting reelected without changing their principles one bit. They love JBE even if they pretend to hate him. When he says jump, they ask how high while going on TV saying they will never jump as high as he wants. Then, when it's time to vote, JBE gets exactly what he asked for, every f&%king time. They're nothing but a bunch of sycophants. The legislature is pure political theater. They're practically ceremonial at this point and only pretend to have power. The governor may as well be a dictator because he wields all the power and no one ever really opposes him in a meaningful way.

How do you think Popeyes and more than a dozen other restaurants got started in Louisiana.

Wait, you mean Todd Graves didn't come up with the idea of Canes all on his own?

Almost like he went to college in Georgia then got a failing grade on his business plan that he copied directly from Zaxby's.

I’m a female and have been frequenting the OT since at least 2013 (Rookie numbers, I know.)...Mostly just lurking, but lately I’ve been trying to post more often and achieve that LLotOT status.

This thread is gold, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep doing the Lord’s work, y’all.
