This is why it's illegal to shoot people running away on your property. All the baws on here like to act tough and say shoot anyone on your property, well this is why you don't shoot at shadows.

LOL at you for saying this while excusing the kids for trespassing.
Because I know kids make mistakes, like playing hide and seek on someone's property that might not want them there. Which could have easily been solved with the guy hollering out for them to get off his property or he was calling the police for trespassing.
I'm holding the adult to the adult standard.

People have been getting pumped full of rage and fear porn 24/7 for years now. I have a feeling we’re going to see a lot more shite like this.

Absolutely.
Pretty much the rules for decades.

Pretty amazing she lived

He goes back outside and saw people running AWAY from his proprty and shot.... Didn't even realize he hit one. Not running towards him. Not running around his house. Frick him.

Old Cletus was probably a shitty shot

I do wonder how many of you excused the old dude that shot the black kid who knocked on his door a few weeks back. I remember that thread going totally differently than this one.
It's hard for him to be objective in these types of threads. His principles become non existent.

Classic rookie/irresponsible gun ownership.

I would be vigilant too if I lived in some parts of Starks.
There's a difference between being vigilant and being retarded. Shooting at people running away from your property is retarded.
The kids shouldn't have been in his yard, too.

Sure they do. Everyone makes mistakes. I feel at 14 you should know better than going to someone's property.
Again, not an excuse for what the guy did. Maybe it was poor parenting.

I am too. Totally OK he was charged.

I mean don't randomly shoot people but how hard is it to stay off of property that doesn't belong to you?
How hard is it to not shoot at someone who is running AWAY from you?

You don't point a weapon at anything you don't intend to kill. Pretty simple. There is a difference in being vigilant and being incompetent.

Was he?
A lot of posters were excusing the shooter in that one

I am wondering what he shot her with for her to be alive. Must have been a .22 or small caliber.

Probably as easy as not roaming around a house that you don't have permission to be at.

I thought this too. Either way, he needs to be in jail and never be allowed to own a gun again.

We are in agreement.
The poster Bosceaux lives in Starks. Hope it wasn't anyone related to him.
