A worker who gets killed at work (mostly male) won't get 1/100 of this in workers compensation benefits. It is even less for a severed arm or leg, or going blind due to an on the job inury.

Punitive damages is the new way to transfer wealth. If she had been black it would have been $50 million.
For some reason I am thinking this was discussed here before, and it wasn’t as clear cut that Starbucks was in the wrong. She messed something up or played a big part in this situation, but I can’t remember exactly. Might be another situation.
